Five Things Your Children Will Tell You Someday That You will Appreciate
My son, who now resides in another state, texted me the other day."I am fishing from a dock with my friends. It makes me think of the times you used to take me fishing. That was very kind of you. My heart melted.

These were brief excursions to a peaceful canal across the highway, not very memorable. However, these turned into cherished recollections for him. The wonderful thing about being a parent is that, to them, the little things are frequently the largest.
One day, your children will look back and understand the significance of those everyday events, even if they do not say it now. Here are five things you could be fortunate enough to hear when they do:
1."I am grateful, Mom (or Dad)."
It could arrive unexpectedly as a phone call or a quiet text. And it will hit you in the best manner when it does. Everyday efforts, late nights, rides to practice, and sacrifices all made a difference. They will eventually see it, even if they did not at the time.
2. "I had a lovely childhood."
You do not have to provide children with an ideal life. Warm meals, a calm atmosphere, and the knowledge that they were loved are all very beneficial. They may be most thankful for the stability you provided them, even in the face of life's ups and downs.
3. "Remember when..."
These are the perfect words to describe what stuck, whether it was foolish customs you did not give much thought to, mountain drives with heads out the window, or nighttime beach excursions. Your children will grin as they recall those moments and carry them with them.
Thus, continue creating memories, no matter how minor. They will recall.
4. "Why did you not..."
This may initially come out as criticism. But the true reason is curiosity. You have the opportunity to explain your objectives, your affection, and your reasons when your child asks why you made particular decisions for them.
Right and wrong are not always important. It is about comprehension.
5. "You must."
Eventually, the roles are reversed. One day, your child might gently advise you to take care of yourself, get some rest, or eat something comfortable. It is how they return your love. At first, it may sound humorous, but it is actually one of the most poignant moments you will ever have.
Last Remark
You can not predict what your children will bring with them. But continue to be there, to love them despite the craziness, and to make those ordinary moments. If you are lucky, they will tell you how much it all meant when they look back one day.
